SHOVA360 :: First human-powered, vertical circumnavigation of the world
Cape Town to Beit Bridge Departing from Cape Agulhas on Sunday 15 May 2011, Ray Chaplin will be setting off on the first human-powered, vertical circumnavigation of the world... an expedition that will see him cover 75,000km over a period of at least seven years.

With around 200 UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the list, the South African will first tackle Africa on the quest he has been preparing for since 2006.

H.P.X.7. :: 'The Seven Continents'
Mountaineers aspire to the "Seven Summits" or "8000'ers", while ocean rowers cross all the oceans. Ray, on the other hand, aspires to traverse the "Seven Continents" using only human-power... from one extremity to the other.

While five of the seven will be crossed off the list during SHOVA360, Australia and Asia remain... and will mean he'll need to head back out there.

Check out some of the highlights from the last few years, and see why Ray is now happy to pedal forth and circumnavigate the world.
